Description: 
The nominate subspecies of the Spinner dolphin, pictured here in coastal Hawaiian waters but also present around northern Australia, is named for its tendency to perform spectacular spinning leaps. They are notably larger than dwarf spinner dolphins and the tripartite markings are much more clearly delineated in this form.
