The hub held its annual workshop at CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research in Hobart on 8 and 9 October 2008, with over 45 scientists attending. 

The first day focused on discussions at Program level to consolidate work completed and plan future activities.  On the second day, each program provided an overview of their research activity to-date and plans for the future.
