Bramble corals, lace bryozoans and seapens are amongst the diverse invertebrate fauna found in Bathurst Channel, Port Davey, SW Tasmania, where strongly tannin-stained surface waters restrict light penetration, promoting “deep-water emergence” where such species can occupy shallower water environments without competition and fouling by algae.
